FOCUS’ child project is a community-based outreach project to the Mulago-Kalerwe slum community in which the FOCUS center is situated and presently supports 195 children.
The project financially supports children through individual sponsorship to meet their basic needs and also provides them an opportunity to attend school.
Through various educational projects, FOCUS exposes these children to opportunities that will help them develop spiritually, physically, socially, and economically. Through various educational programs, FMCDP is committed to making a holistic impact on the Mulago-Kalerwe slum community, using the child as the entry point in the community.
Other activities in this project are training in enterprise development for out of school youth, parenting seminars and spearheading community clean-up programs The project runs two support groups for caregivers and children living with HIV/AIDS. The support group for adults has been in existence since 2001 while the one for children started in 2009 BECOME A SPONSOR
