What is FATT?
The FOCUS Associate Trainers’ Team (FATT) is a ministry team of recent University and College graduates that ministers among Students (and to a less extent so far, among FOCUS Associates) in Central Region. As a FOCUS ministry team, FATT ministers along with the FOCUS Training Secretary. However, the team members are trained and equipped so as to be able to minister confidently and effectively with or without the Training Secretary.
FATT started in July 1994, arising out of the insufficiency of a lone Travelling/Training Secretary in effectively reaching the growing numbers and sizes of the CUs in Central Region. Central Region hosts the greatest concentration of CUs as well as the biggest CUs in the Country. Its birth immediately resulted in, among others, close to 100% of the CUs in the Region being reached in the Academic year 1994/95.
FATT members meet once or twice a month in overnight meetings for training, prayer, planning and fellowship. They basically raise their financial support from friends and well-wishers. In addition to visiting all campuses, each FATT member is attached to a specific Campus or Hall of residence where he/she visits more regularly; supporting, encouraging, advising, counseling leaders and CU members, and more especially the Care Group leaders.
VISION:
FATT strives to equip students of tertiary institutions in Uganda with the tools, knowledge,
and Biblical truth for growth so that they may have a lasting impact for Christ on their
campuses and beyond.
What is STEM?
The Short Term Experience in Ministry (STEM) is a one-year program for fresh graduates.
STEM staff works directly with the students discipling, mentoring and training the students of the Christian Union/s to which one is attached.
