FOCUS was honoured to participate in Commission 2024, held at Kabarak University, Nakuru, Kenya, under the theme “As the Father has sent me, so send I you” (John 20:21). The conference championed “The African Moment,” emphasizing Africa’s crucial role in advancing the Great Commission.
Authors Yaw Perbi and Sam Ngugi highlighted in their book Africa to the Rest that Africa, with its youthful and growing Christian population, is well positioned to lead global evangelization, especially as secularism weakens the Church in the West.
A team of five Ugandans represented FOCUS Uganda, engaging in powerful Bible expositions from Isaiah, plenaries on global missions, apologetics, and missional discipleship, alongside over 2,800 delegates from diverse denominational backgrounds. The event featured 70+ seminars covering theology, mission strategies, and contemporary challenges, fostering unity and a renewed commitment to world evangelization.
